Daniel Johnson Registered Care Manager and Dementia Specialist
''Every care arrangement at NeeryVille Care is personally overseen by me''
My name is Daniel Johnson. I am the Registered Care Manager at NeeryVille Care and the person who is directly accountable for the quality of every care arrangement we provide.
Before you read any further, I want you to know one thing. When you call NeeryVille Care, you are not calling a call centre or speaking to a salesperson. You are speaking to a care professional with over 12 years of direct experience supporting people living with dementia, stroke, Parkinson's disease and a range of complex conditions at home. You will speak to me or to one of the people I have personally trained and trust completely.
I know that choosing care for someone you love is one of the most important decisions your family will ever make. And I know that no brochure, no website and no list of credentials can fully answer the question you are actually asking, which is: can I trust these people with my loved one?

My Background and Why It Shapes Everything We Do
Twelve Years Working Directly With People Living With Dementia
I did not come to home care through a business background. I came through psychology and a decade of working directly in care homes with people living with dementia.
What I observed during those years changed the direction of my career entirely. I watched what happened when people with dementia were moved from the homes they had lived in for decades into care facilities, however good those facilities were.
The confusion that arrived with the unfamiliar layout.
The anxiety of not recognising the faces around them.
The quiet withdrawal that happened when the cognitive anchors, the familiar kitchen, the route to the bathroom they had walked ten thousand times, the view from the window they woke up to every morning, were no longer there.
I also watched the opposite. I watched what happened when people with dementia received excellent, consistent, familiar support in their own home. The difference was not subtle. It was profound.
That observation is the reason NeeryVille Care exists and it is the reason the same carer, every single visit, is not a marketing claim at NeeryVille Care. It is a clinical commitment. One I made because I have seen, directly and repeatedly, what it means in practice for a real person living with this condition.
Psychology, Clinical Governance and Why Both Matter
My background is in psychology as well as care management. This combination is not common in home care and I believe it matters significantly.
Psychology gives me a framework for understanding behaviour, communication and the emotional experience of both the person receiving care and the family members supporting them. It shapes how I assess a person's needs, how I match a carer to a specific individual and how I train the carers who work with us.
Clinical governance gives me the framework to ensure that the care we deliver meets a defined standard, is consistently monitored, is documented properly and improves over time. NeeryVille Care operates within a full clinical governance framework. This is the standard you would expect from an NHS service. It is rare in private home care. For families dealing with complex or progressive conditions it makes a significant practical difference to the safety and quality of care their loved one receives.
Every care arrangement at NeeryVille Care is built on both of these foundations. Not just compassion and good intentions. A professional framework that holds every visit to a defined standard, with named accountability at every level. That named person is me.

What I Personally Oversee for Every Family
Every care arrangement starts with a direct conversation between me and your family. Not a coordinator. Me. I make the carer matching decision personally, I monitor clinical quality throughout and I am accountable to the CQC as the named Registered Manager. My professional standing is directly tied to the quality of care your loved one receives.
What Families Ask Me Most Often
"How do I know the carer will be right for my mum?"
I match on who the person is, not just their care needs. The carer right for someone quiet and private is not the same person right for someone with a sharp sense of humour. If the placement is not right within the first 14 days you can end it with no notice and no fees.
"What if my loved one's needs change?"
The carer stays. The support evolves. We adapt the arrangement without disrupting the relationship your loved one has already built.
The Standard I Hold Every Carer To
Every carer is directly employed, DBS checked, trained to my standard and supervised on an ongoing basis. When performance does not meet what I expect, it is addressed immediately.
