All that is required is a spare room for the carer to have their own space during breaks and to sleep, with a TV for their relaxation and internet access so they are able to complete the records required to manage your care. Your live-in carer will cook your daily meals and eat the same food, with you if you wish.The carer will need to have a two-hour break in any 24-hour period, which many clients usually find works best when they are resting in the afternoon. If you require care and support during this period many will have family visits to cover this break, or we can organise for an hourly care provider to cover this for you.

The speed of arranging live-in care depends on the outcome of your care assessment and the availability of experienced carers. In most cases, we can start providing care within 48 hours.

We have a detailed recruitment process that enables us to only recruit the very best carers. Candidates are screened against our unique values framework and sit a pioneering situational judgement test ahead of a final interview. If successful, applicants then complete a five-day induction programme, including modules such as first aid, moving and handling, medication and health conditions. All carers are required to complete a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check.

Costs are based on the level of care required by the clients and are different for everyone. An estimated cost can be given following an initial conversation with a client services adviser, but that cost can only be confirmed once a free care assessment has been completed with you by a care manager. Funding options may be available to you depending on your personal circumstances.
